Covid-19 Report: 6 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On May 23

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 6 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 678 lab specimens within 24 hours with 17 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals on 23rd of May.

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 143,234 with 132,194 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 23rd of May. The public’s cooperation is requested to address wearing mask systematically when it comes to go outside, frequent washing hands and social distancing to control the spreading of COVID-19, MOHS instructions for office/department staff and everybody and every family’s active cooperation as the COVID-19 preventive measures including giving notice and reminding each other and family plan.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Turkey, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:45pm CEST, 23 May 2021, there have been over 166 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.44 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
