COVID-19 Report: 34 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On May 25

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 34 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 1,923 lab specimens within 24 hours. And, 11 COVID-19 positive patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 143,296 and, 132,229 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The public’s cooperation is requested to address wearing mask systematically when it comes to go outside, frequent washing hands and social distancing to control the spreading of COVID-19, MOHS instructions for office/department staff and everybody and every family’s active cooperation as the COVID-19 preventive measures including giving notice and reminding each other and family plan.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Turkey, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 3:59pm CEST, 25 May 2021, there have been over 167 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.47 million deaths, reported to WHO. 

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
