Covid-19 Report: 3,027 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On August 8

The Ministry of Health reported 3,027 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 9,269 lab specimens within 24 hours. 250 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 4,984 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 329,516 with 11,776 deaths and 243,731 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The public’s cooperation is requested to address wearing masks when it comes to going outside, frequently washing hands and practicing social distancing to control the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
