COVID-19 Prevention: Vaccination Programme and Mask Campaign

Ministry of Health is accelerating the COVID-19 vaccination programme in regions and states for the disease prevention and control.

On the 16th of October, residents in 26 townships of Ayeyawaddy Region and 7 districts of Mandalay Region were vaccinated COVID-19 vaccines by Tatmadaw medical corps, doctors from the People’s Hospitals, relevant medical staffs and volunteers.

Likewise, COVID-19 vaccines are administered to students from 7 districts from Mandalay region on Sunday. Moreover, masks campaigns are also underway in regions and states to prevent and control COVID-19.

Masks were distributed to 3 townships including Myeik in Taninthayi District, 44 townships in Yangon Region, schools in Ngaphe and Yay Nan Chaung Townships in Magway region and crowded places.

Moreover, COVID-19 awareness campaigns were conducted by the local Tatmadawmen, officials from Administrative Bodies, departmental staffs and volunteer organizations.
