COVID-19 Prevention: Vaccination by Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce

In Myanmar, the Government and organizations have been cooperating on the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment. The Coronavirus Disease Vaccination Programme is underway across the country.
Now, the vaccination is available at the Thuwunna Bhumi Event Park in Yangon – the programme is led by the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCOC) with the assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
Through this programme, people can receive Chinese-made Sinopharm jabs. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 378,377 with 14,622 deaths and 305,844 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the public need to Stay at home as much as possible, wear mask when it comes to going outside, wash hands frequently and take distance from each other. If there are older persons above 65 or those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart in the house, they must wear masks. The cooperation with great attention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination is needed.
Since early June, Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce initiated to conduct the Vaccination Programme in many regions and states by forming the Covid-19 Vaccination Steering Committee. 2 doses of vaccination will cost 50,000 Kyats at the Thuwunna Bhumi Event Park Vaccination Center.
The Vaccination at the Center goes with the help of well-experienced doctors and nurses from the Ministry of Health, and other medical volunteers. It’s learnt that the Chairman of Shwe Than Lwin Company Limited (Sky Net) helped the giant site for this COVID-19 Vaccination programme and 6,000 people could inoculate the vaccine within a day conveniently and systematically. The Center will also facilitate emergency treatment rooms, and also the rest rooms for the vaccinated people plus full of securities.
