COVID-19 Prevention: Medical Equipment Donated By Japan Handed Over

According to the Japan’s assistance project about 5.18 million USD for COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment, Counsellor Takimi Kazuyuki of Japanese Embassy in Myanmar handed over medical equipment that are jointly purchased with the United Nations Office for Project Services, UNOPS to the Ministry of Health and Sports on Monday.

The handover ceremony was held at the National Health Laboratory in Yangon and Deputy Director General of NHL, head of UNOPS and concerned officials attended the ceremony.  The donated items are 10 medical waste disposal equipment, 3 centrifuges and 4 autoclaves and these equipments have been provided to be used in the Public Health Laboratories and the People’s Hospitals across Myanmar.
