COVID-19 Meeting: Prevention, Control &Response Measures In Bago Region

The Bago Region’s COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee held the 11th coordination meeting on Wednesday.

In the meeting at the regional government office in Bago, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win stressed that to prevent the spread of Omicron strains BA.4 and BA.5 in Bago Region, preventive measures must be continued, the public needs to live properly in accordance with the COVID-19 rules even though they’re fully injected with COVID-19 vaccines and the need to continue the COVID-19 vaccination programme.

Attendees reported on detection and treatment of COVID-19 and the conditions of treatment, COVID-19 vaccination activities, facility quarantine preparation, availability of medical supplies and the readiness of the oxygen plant. The Chief Minister and officials of the Bago Region Government called on concerned officials to continue the COVID-19 vaccination programme, to inspect facility quarantine centers, to conduct awareness campaigns and to keep the vaccination lists by targeted groups in a systematic database.
