COP29 Climate Forced Displacement Report

UN Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, brings together leaders to advance solutions to the defining issue of present time. UNHCR is at COP29 to ensure that the plight of displaced populations and their need for urgent protection, financing, and support is included in decisions.

Represented by UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, UNHCR on 12 November launched a report called No Escape: On the Frontline of Climate Change, Conflict, and forced displacement. This is UNHCR’s first stand-alone report which explores the intricate links between climate change, conflict, and displacement.
