Coordination Meeting: Undertakings of Departments and Enterprises

A work coordination meeting on undertakings of the Departments and enterprises under the Ministry of Industry for third quarter week from April to December was held at the Ministry on Tuesday.

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than stressed the needs on supervising on adopting policies to carry out the tasks at the factories and workshops under the Ministry, scrutinizing to get local market prices for leased factories and workshops, putting systematic records of properties like factories, workshops, machines, lands, buildings and shops, systematic using of budget funds in line with procedures, tender processes to carry out in line with the instructions, plans to cooperate with private sector for the factories that are not capacity to operate and registration for issuing industrial certifications in line with laws and procedures.

The Union Minister discussed installation of Electric Vehicle-EV charging stands at the 24 shops in Yangon City Development area, on Yangon-Mandalay expressway and in Nay Pyi Taw Development Area and plan to conduct trainings like electric vehicle inspection supporting trainings, striving for completion of the tasks within the target time and future work plans to be implemented in upcoming financial year. Later, Directors General and managing directors reviewed the reports of concerned officials and undertakings of the departments and enterprises and future plans were reported.
