

The coordination meeting to organize the third ethnic culture festival with the aims at national unity, development of ethnic regions, and propagation of ethnic cultures and promotion of tourists’ destinations in ethnic regions was held at the ministry of ethnic affairs, Nay Pyi Taw on November 9.
At the meeting, the Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint gave a remark that the first ethnic culture festival was held from January 25 to 30, 2019, the second one was done from February 1 to 7 in Kyaikkasan Sports Ground in Yangon. The third ethnic cultural festival will be held as Virtual Reality Festival through MRTV and Web Portals with the gesture of hailing the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of Union Day.
As the time just left around a month for the festival, all are urged to discuss the date and time, the program contents and cooperation of MRTV and ethnic entrepreneurs. Next, the deputy minister U Zaw Aye Maung, director-general of MRTV U Ye Naing, vice chairman of ethnic entrepreneurs association clarified the festival features in the previous years, broadcasting schedules and entertainment programs and preparations for showcasing display booths during the festival.
Following the discussions and suggestions of deputy minister, permanent secretary, director-generals and responsible officials from the ethnic entrepreneurs association, the union minister gave speech of conclusion.
