Coordination Meeting: Preparation for Buddha Day Celebrations

Leading Committee on Organizing the Kason Full Moon Day Buddha Day ceremonies held a work coordination meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on April 23rd.

Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin attended the meeting in his capacity as Leading Committee’s Chairman. He discussed that state level grand celebrations of offering donation items and alms, paper reading session, Kason Water Pouring Festival, candle lit procession and Dhamma Thabin ceremony have been held since 2023 at the Agga Dipati Sasana Beikmandaw within the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Park and Uppatasanti Pagoda.

The Union Minister stressed that for this year, convenient arrangements have been made for Sayadawgyis, and other participants including related departmental officials and students during the festival, ensuring the preparation measures to adapt the current weather situations. Attendees later discussed the plans for successful conducting of the celebrations including the Decorative Parades on Major Events of Lord Buddha, and the Union Minister coordinated the needs.
