Coordination meeting: Mon State Gov. to hold Waso Robe offering ceremony

A coordination meeting for the successful organization of the 15th Annual Waso Robe Offering Ceremony in 2025 was held at Aung San Hall of the State Government office in Mawlamyaing of Mon State on June 30th.

Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended the meeting and stated that the Mon State Government, as in previous years, will successfully hold the collective Waso robe offering ceremony again this year. He emphasized that Waso robes would be offered to all monasteries in Mawlamying and called on the committee members to carry out their assigned tasks with diligence and coordination, ensuring that nothing is overlooked.

After that, the attending committee members presented the preparations already made to ensure the success of the 15th Waso Robe Offering Ceremony, and to provide robes to all monasteries during the Buddhist Lent period.

State Ministers participated in the discussions and provided suggestions. The Chief Minister then gave concluding remarks, stating that any remaining requirements would be coordinated and fulfilled collaboratively.
