Coordination Meeting: MOIP held a coordination meeting

The Ministry of Immigration and Population held a coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday to clarify the President’s guidelines and plan implementation during the government’s 100-day period.

At the meeting, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing stated that the government has set priority tasks to be carried out within 100 days starting from April 20. The ministry outlined efforts to issue citizenship verification cards to children aged 10, replace lost or damaged cards, and provide new cards to those turning 18.

Plans also include expanding data collection through the e-ID system, assigning unique ID numbers, and conducting biometric and biographic registration. The Union Minister stressed the need for systematic planning to ensure effective implementation of these processes, noting their importance for citizens’ daily lives.

He added that the ministry must also support national priorities in peace, education, health and social welfare. Then, the senior officials reviewed progress on ongoing projects and its needs, while the deputy ministers discussed implementation requirements. The Union Minister called for close coordination and supervision to complete targeted tasks within the set timeframe.
