Coordination Meeting: Meeting On Young Persons Under Trial Held

The coordination meeting on the collaboration with organizations of prosecution regarding with young persons under trial from youth training centers was held at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. At the meeting, the Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing said although some training centers under the limitation of place and region have some difficulties in providing daily needs, these can be overcome. The collaborations should be made to give a verdict as soon as possible for the young people under trial who cannot attend the court hearing during the COVID-19 period.

Next, the deputy minister U Aung Tun Khaing said the comprehensive assessment should be conducted in amending Children’s Rights Law. Then, the director general of social welfare department, head officers of relevant regions and states, in-charge persons of the youth training schools and principals reported related matters in regards to the prosecution charges.
