








A coordination meeting to successfully conduct the 2025 Multiparty Democracy General Election within Bago Region led by Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win was held at the Tawwin Hantha Hall of the Bago Region government office on October 8.
First, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win stated that security plans must be systematically developed according to the polling station allocation criteria by township, and efforts must be focused on public awareness in wards and village groups about the voter lists to prevent any destruction of announcement boards. He also mentioned that after the release and announcement of the parliamentary candidate lists, security-related matters that need to be addressed during the voter gathering period must be prepared in advance.
Subsequently, the Region Minister of Security and Border Affairs, the head of the Region Immigration and Population Department, the Region Government Secretary, responsible members of the Region and Bago Township Sub Election Commission, and attending departmental officials collectively proposed and discussed the security of polling stations and ensuring that every eligible voter could freely cast their vote. The Chief Minister provided necessary supplements and guidance as required.
Subsequently, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited Bago Township, Myo-Thit Ward, Myoma Market, and Ward No. 2, where he observed and encouraged voters as they reviewed the voter lists and demonstrated the use of voting machines. The Chief Minister guided the responsible officials to ensure that eligible voters are included in the voter lists in accordance with the law and emphasized the importance of preventing any omissions in the voter lists, it’s reported.
