Coordination Meeting: Meeting To Organize Religious Titles Conferring Ceremony Held

The coordination meeting of steering committee for organizing 2021 Religious Sasananuggaha titles conferring ceremony was held at the ministry of religious affairs and culture, Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the meeting, the union minister for religious affairs and culture U Ko Ko said that among the 8 kinds of Religious Sasananuggaha titles, there are 11 men who will receive the highest title of Aggamahasirisudhamma Manijotadhara  titles and 28 women who will be awarded the Aggamahasirisudhamma Singi  title and the title conferring ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on 9th July.  

The ceremony will be exclusively held for the lay persons without participation of Sangha and the subcommittees need to collaborate to organize the ceremony in line with the directives of the ministry of health and sports for the prevention and control measures of COVID-19.

The rest 6 kinds of Sasananuggaha  titles were received by 33 men and 52 women. Those will be conferred at the respective Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states by the leading of the chairmen of respective Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states administrative council simultaneously.

Next, the chairman and members of working committee and responsible officials of the respective subcommittees clarified the work implementations regarding the 21 decisions laid down at the first coordination meeting and preparations for organizing the ceremony successfully. Then, the union minister gave necessary instructions to carry out at the ceremony and coordinated requirements, it’s learnt.
