Coordination meeting: Meeting to organize Kasone water pouring ceremony

The work coordination meeting to organize 14th Pouring Water on the Maha Bodhi trees Ceremony was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Nay Pyi Taw on 28th April with the attendance of Union Minister U Ko Ko, deputy ministers and chairmen and secretaries of 7 sub committees and officials.

Speaking at the meeting, the union minister said that the 14th Kasone water pouring festival will be held at the Maha Bodhi trees (1) and (2) to the north in the compound of Uppātasanti Pagoda in line with the religious traditions on the full moon day of Kasone.

The previous festivals were held by the board of trustee of the Uppātasanti Pagoda. From the 13th edition of the festival, it was held as the state level festival. The coming 14th festival will also be held as the state level.

On the full moon day of Kasone (14th May, 2022), the festival will be held in two parts. The first part of the festival in the morning will be organized with performing good deeds in the cave of the Uppātasanti Pagoda with 6 agenda and the second part will be held at the pagoda platform near the Maha Bodhi trees to the north in the compound of the pagoda.

Next, the deputy minister clarified the arrangements of the agenda for the first and second parts of the festival followed by the clarifications and discussions of the chairmen of 7 sub committees. Afterward, the union minister coordinated necessaries and gave a speech of conclusion.
