Coordination Meeting: Meeting focused on the agricultural research works

A coordination meeting aimed at supporting the successful implementation of the state’s agricultural policy guidelines through agricultural research was held on the morning of May 5 at the Navarat Hall of the Department of Agricultural Research in Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Dr. Ye Tint Tun, addressed the participants, stating that it is essential for the research processes carried out by the Department of Agricultural Research to be aligned with the national agricultural policy guidelines. He further emphasized the need for a balance between Academic Research in collaboration with universities and Applied Research that farmers can utilize directly. The Deputy Minister added that research findings must be translated and disseminated in a language easily understood by farmers through technical training sessions, informative articles, and educational pamphlets.

Following the opening remarks, the Director General of the Department of Agricultural Research and officials from various divisions presented updates on their respective sectors. The Deputy Minister then provided further guidance and coordinated the necessary requirements for the ongoing operations, it’s reported.
