







Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn on Friday in Nay Pyi Taw presided over a coordination meeting to hold a film, music and theatre festival.
The Union minister said the meeting was held to organize a great festival collaborating with the experts from the movie, music and theatrical performing industries.
Although the entertaining programmes are suspended for COVID-19 restrictions temporarily, the festival will be held with the capacity and participation of artistes to resume the art-related operations.
The literature, film, music and theatrical performing industries participated in the development programmes of countries depending on the policy of governments.
The artistes can change the emotion of the public, deliver the knowledge through entertainment, conserve the Myanmar’s traditional culture and national characteristics and persuade to participate in the current trend of the country.
He also talked about the government’s support to artistes in the literary, film, music and theatrical industries, the efforts of artistes for the interests of the country and people year on year, and called for active participation in holding the festival and proper suggestions to entertain the entire national people with arts.
Also, the IPRD director-general reported on the plans for holding the festival. Attendees made discussions on the festival and the Union minister gave necessary instructions.
