







To promote agricultural development in Magway Region and to meet or exceed the set targets for the ten major crops, special emphasis is being placed on achieving the planned cultivation levels. In line with this effort, the Coordination Meeting for Enhancing Agricultural Capacity Meeting was held in the afternoon of June 21st at the Magway Region Government Office meeting hall.
At the meeting, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of increasing crop productivity in order to enhance agricultural production in the region. He urged the departments responsible for the agricultural sector to work together to meet the needs of the sector and strive for development by ensuring targeted yield levels are met and production is boosted.
Following this, the Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs, Colonel Moe Min Thein, delivered a speech.
Subsequently, the Director of the Region Government Office, the Head of the Regional Department of Agriculture, the Head of the Land Management and Statistics Department, other responsible officials, and participants discussed and presented matters related to the agriculture and livestock sectors. The Chief Minister responded by coordinating with relevant departments to fulfill the necessary requirements.
In addition, the Chief Minister and responsible officials conducted a field inspection on the morning of the July 22nd in urban wards of Magway to oversee dengue fever prevention activities, which included covering, throwing, changing water, and filtering.
As part of the ongoing public health awareness and vector control campaigns to prevent dengue fever which is commonly occurring during the monsoon season in various townships of Magway Region, the Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, along with region ministers and departmental officials at the regional, district, and township levels, visited neighborhoods in Magway city to inspect these efforts by treating water containers with abate larvicide.
