






A coordination meeting on election-related security tasks in Yangon Region was held at the Mingalar Hall of the Yangon Region Government Office on December 17. The meeting was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, members of the Region Government, the Chairman and responsible officials of the Region Sub-Commission of the Union Election Commission, and other responsible persons.
First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening speech.
Following that, Yangon Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs (Chairman of the Security Supervision Committee), Colonel Win Tint, explained and presented the status of security-related task implementations.
Subsequently, Head of Yangon Region Police Force (Secretary of the Security Supervision Committee), Police Brigadier General Ko Ko Lwin, and Secretary of the Yangon Region Government (Member of the Security Supervision Committee), U Nay Win Aung, explained and presented the status of management tasks arranged for election security.
Afterwards, the attendees collaboratively discussed and presented necessary matters related to ensuring that the public can cast their votes safely and securely during the election period. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein supplemented the discussions, coordinated and facilitated the required actions, and delivered the concluding remarks.
