Coordination Meeting: Ensuring accurate acreage figures for crops discussed

The ceremony to mark World Immunization Week (2026) in Sagaing Region was held on April 28 at the City Hall in Monywa. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister, U Ko Lay, who delivered the opening speech.

Following that, the Chief Minister awarded prizes to the three townships that achieved the best performance in integrating immunization activities with other maternal and child health care services. He then toured the photo exhibitions documenting the implementation of World Immunization Week and viewed the supplies to be used in immunization efforts.

Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and responsible officials attended the coordination meeting on ensuring accurate acreage figures for the 13 target high-yield crops and oilseed soybean crops within the region, which was held at the meeting hall of the Region Government Office.

First, the Chief Minister U Ko Lay, delivered the opening speech. Afterward, members of the Regional Agricultural and Livestock Supervisory Committee, the Chairman of the Monywa District Administration and Management Committee, and region government members explained the status of their respective responsibilities in ensuring accurate production figures for the 13 target high-yield crops and oilseed soybean crops within the region.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister provided necessary coordination and follow-up actions based on the discussions presented by attendees at the meeting and delivered the closing remarks, it’s reported.
