



A coordination meeting was held at the Yangon Region Government Office on Friday, to discuss organizing communication lines, power cables, and parking systems in the city.
Union Minister for Digital Development and Communication U Mya Tun Oo attended the meeting and gave opening remarks, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts between government departments and telecommunications companies to organize communication lines and power cables according to city planning.
He noted that the existing underground cable network along Pyay Road is functioning well and that similar projects along KabaAye Pagoda Road and Waizayantar Road should continue as planned. He called for structured implementation by the joint committees at regional and district levels responsible for expanding communication networks and maintaining orderly cable management. He urged the regional government and telecom regulatory authorities to cooperate as needed, and all telecom operators and service companies were encouraged to work together.
The meeting focused on ensuring underground cable networks are properly installed, maintaining orderly parking and traffic management, preventing illegal motorcycle and slow vehicle entry, and promoting cooperation among operators to improve overall network efficiency. Attendees also discussed ongoing and future projects to systematically manage communication infrastructure and traffic in Yangon.
