Cooperative and Management: University offers 5 specialized subjects

The Cooperative University in Thanlyin was renamed as the University of Cooperative and Management (Thanlyin) in November 2021. The University has offered the Bachelor of Business Science in 5 specialized subjects since 2021. The university was a cooperative training school in 1970, then reached to degree college level and upgraded to university level.

For 2022-2023 academic year, university accepts over 300 students and about 70% of them are attending according to the rector. 

Dr. Yi Yi Win, Rector, University of Cooperative and Management (Thanlyin) said "We are offering the specializing in accounting, socio-economic management, applied statistics, regional development and marketing management. As the minor subjects, we teach- Myanmar, English, mathematics, Myanmar affairs, economics, law and geography. Also there are internet facilities here and students can use this platform with learning management system. Also we offer the online classes and give the lectures with zoom application. As a university, we will link internationally with academic activities and that will benefits for students when they enter their work places. "

Currently, there are over 200 students attending the 1st to final year classes for 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, the university successfully built 1,400 seats multi-purpose hall to connect with the international universities for academic activities.
