Cooperation and Collaboration: Meeting with the UN delegation

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met with UN Interim Resident Coordinator and WFP Country Director for Myanmar Mr. Michael Dunford and party in Nay Pyi Taw on August 14.

They discussed cooperation on visa and stay permits for UN agencies, citizenship application processes for NV card holders from Rakhine State, working with UN agencies, temporary stay permissions in Yangon for UN/INGO staff and families from Rakhine State, and future returns depending on stability. They also talked about smooth coordination for humanitarian aid by WFP and collaboration with UNHCR on receiving displaced people back in Rakhine.
