Convenient Transportation: YBS To Resume Bus Services To Universities

Universities in Yangon Region will be reopened on 12th May. For the convenience of the students, YBS plans to resume regular bus services to the Universities.

According to the Yangon Region Public Transport Committee- YRTC, instructions have been made to YBS companies to provide more service of YBS route due to the large number of passengers during the office hours.

Joint Secretary, Yangon Region Public Transport Committee(YRTC), LyanCinMang said “As the universities will be reopened on 12th May, the YBS buses which is run to East and West Yangon University and University of Dagon have been ordered to increase the running times for the convenience of students and teachers. YRTC instructed to use the card system.”

Currently, 21 companies are operating the YBS buses in about 114 bus lines. There are more than 3,000 buses under YBS, providing services to about 800,000 passengers.
