For controlling pollution and protecting and restoring the environment

China will launch a campaign this year to advance the construction of more than 100 “beautiful bays” by controlling pollution and protecting and restoring the environment, according to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

China started to build “beautiful bays” in 2021.So far, more than 20 bays have been listed as good examples for building “beautiful bays” because of their achievements in improving the marine environment and ecology.

It is expected that by 2027, around 40 percent of the 283 bays across China will become “beautiful bays” featuring a clean environment, rich biodiversity, and harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
