The electric power plants in Myanmar are needed to maintain the quality control of power generators to run with full of mechanical energy and continuously distribute electricity through systematic storage the inflow of water in the dam.
Moreover, in case of the systematic maintaining and running of power generators in order to run with full of mechanical energy for water that gained in this rainy season before coming the hot season, efforts are being made to gradually generate electricity produced from hydropower plants of Upper PaungLaung, Nancho, lower PaungLaung and middle PaungLaung to effectively use of water that flow from PaungLaung river along with the lowest environmental damage.
It is also necessary in addition to produce with hydrometric system, and to produce again the upcoming electricity which can be available from Upper Yeywa hydropower project on Dotehtawaddy river, Namatu-Hsipaw project, middle Yeywa project and Dedoat project and it’s is required to implement projects in Thanlwin River delta and Ayeyawaddy River delta which are under discussions.
Upper PaungLaung hydropower plant is situated on PaungLaung River, 26 miles away east of Pyinmana on the border of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, which is generating 140 MW and able to produce an average of 454 million kilowatt-hours a year, then the produced electricity are transmitted to Pyinmanan branch station with 230 KV power line through Nancho and PaungLaung power plants and continue to add to the national grid for the distribution of electricity.
So, it is being implemented to distribute electricity sequentially the whole year round through systematic storage of inflow water in the dam to obtain full of electricity need for the upcoming summer.
