





Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin inspected the construction progress of the new refinery at No. 1 Oil Refinery (Thanlyin) in Yangon on Friday. The officials reported on the project, the transportation and installation status of equipment from Thilawa Port and plans for future work.
The Union Minister stressed that the project must be completed promptly according to set standards. The initial phase, a Modular Type Plant, aims to quickly ease public fuel supply difficulties. He urged all to supervise the work, ensuring timely completion.
On December 18, the Union Minister met with the ministry staff serving in Yangon. He instructed the CNG and fuel sales staff to prioritize consumer safety. He called for regular and random inspections to ensure consumer safety and prevent harm, adding that technology would be used to reduce human weaknesses in inspection and supervision while coordinating operational needs.
