Consecration Ceremony: Ceremony Of Consecrating Ordination Ground Held

The ceremony of successfully completing the consecration of ground for Thathana Beikman AggaDhipati WiThonGama ordination hall in Marawizaya Buddha garden compound was held in the morning on April 27 in Dakhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.

First, the members of Sangha performed the consecrating procedures of the ground where the Thathana Beikman AggaDhipati WiThonGama ordination hall will be constructed in line with the procedures of the Vinaya rules.

Next, the members of Sangha recited Paritta Suttas including Metta Suttan. Then, the well wishers of the Buddha image recited the Yatanatayapuza gatha and two stanzas of extending loving-kindness three times in unison.

Afterward, Ovadacariya sayadaw of construction of Marawizaya Buddha image, Aggamahapadita, Aggamaha Thaddhamma Zawtikadhaza Baddanata WimalaBuddhi clarified regarding the consecration of ground for WiThonGama ordination ground following the conclusion of the ceremony. Next, the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, council members, council secretary and joint-secretary, union ministers and well wishers offered the offertories to the members of Sangha.

Afterward, the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister viewed the replica of Thathana Beikman AggaDhipati WiThonGama ordination hall and tended the requirements submitted by the responsible officials. The ordination hall to be constructed will be the biggest one of its kind in Myanmar, it’s reported.
