Consecration Ceremony : Attending the consecration ceremony for Buddha Images

Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, together with responsible officials and local elders, attended the ceremony for the consecration of 1,000 Buddha images made of multi-flowers, held on December 24 at the ThangaramaBeikman Hall in Wakema Township, Ayeyawady Region.

The Union Minister and attendees observed the Five Precepts from the presiding Sayadaw of Kungyankone  Monastery, listened to the recitation of Paritta by the members of Sangah, and made offerings of robes and donated items to the Sayadaws.

They then listened to a sermon, shared the merit of their donations and offered early meal to the Sangha. Next, the Union Minister proceeded to the Relic Pagoda in Kyonmange  Town, Wakema Township, where he toured the arches within the pagoda precinct where the staff from the Wakema Township Office of the Ministry of Immigration and Population were providing services under Phase (3) of the Pan Khin Project, including household registration and the replacement of damaged or lost Citizenship Scrutiny Cards (CSCs) for local residents, as well as processing applications for CSCs for citizens who had reached the age of 18.

He also observed the implementation of step-by-step procedures through a One Stop Service to issue household registration lists and CSCs to local residents, and the collection of biographic and biometric data through the e-ID system to issue Unique ID numbers to those who had already received CSCs.

The Union Minister provided guidance and instructions to responsible officials and addressed operational needs. Subsequently, the Union Minister explained to local residents the Pan Khin Project’s efforts to ensure convenient and accessible issuance of Citizenship Scrutiny Cards, as well as matters related to the requirement to possess a CSC to vote in the upcoming general election.

Afterward, the Union Minister presented lawfully verified Citizenship Scrutiny Cards to the respective recipients and provided financial assistance and food supplies to the township immigration office for staff conducting field operations.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the Sattyon DhammaYeiktha  Monastery in Kyonmange  Town, where he paid respects to the presiding Sayadaw, the State Ovadacariya, Bhaddanta Sumana and offered robes and donated items and supplicated matters related to religious affairs, it was reported.
