Congressional elections underway in Colombia

Colombians were voting on Sunday for Congressional lawmakers and were choosing the presidential candidates for three political coalitions in key elections, including the presidential elections in May.

12,500 polling stations were open across the country to allow "Colombians to vote freely. Colombians will elect 108 senators, 187 representatives to the House of Representatives, and presidential candidates of the three main coalitions.

The three winning candidates will go to the first presidential round on the 29th of May.
