







Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe visited the Cooperative Accountancy Vocational Training School in Pathein on February 16 and met with staff from the four departments under the ministry at the region, district, and township levels, the school principal, teachers, and trainees.
The Region Directors and the Principal explained the ongoing activities. Following this, the Union Minister stated that staff must coordinate and collaborate among departments to prioritize the enhancement of rural communities' socio-economic lives, create job opportunities, and increase family incomes in line with the ministry's policies, goals, and objectives.
He emphasized the importance of joint cooperation with cooperative members for the success of cooperative agriculture, livestock breeding, and general businesses in Ayeyawady Region. The government provides necessary high-yield seeds and inputs to member farmers through the crop-on-loan system, and responsible officials must continuously ensure timely delivery to farmers before the planting season.
The Union Minister then visited Pauk Kone Village in Pathein Township to observe the experimental cultivation of Russian sunflower varieties Vulkan , Ippolit , and Makhaon KLP , as well as beekeeping boxes and a solar-powered water pumping system.
Afterwards, he attended the inauguration ceremony of a new 1,200-foot concrete village road in Wayon Su Village, Kanyut Kwin Village Tract, Einme Township, and met with villagers. Regarding requests to pave the village entrance road and the connecting road to Kanyut Kwin Village, he instructed responsible officials to allocate funds in the upcoming fiscal years.
The Union Minister then traveled to Thea Kone Village, Wakema Township, Myaungmya District, where he attended the inauguration of a 1 mile 6 furlongs long new inter-village concrete road connecting Thea Kone, Kyont Tone, Tha Pyu Kone, and Kyar Phyu villages, branching off from the main Pasa-Nga road. He cut the ribbon to open the road and conducted an inspection tour along the new concrete road.
