





The compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations in Yangon Region are carrying out for the convenience of CNG vehicles at the time when electricity is supplied part-time in Yangon Region. There are 41 CNG filling stations in Yangon Region and these filling stations are distributing the compressed natural gas to the CNG vehicles.
Kyaw Thura Win, General Manager, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise said “There are 41 CNG filling stations in Yangon Region and of them, 6 filling stations are the CNG gas selling trailers. Out them, one trailer has been closed recently. That’s why, 40 filling stations are operating daily. Currently, there are frequent power outages at the CNG filling stations and it is found that the vehicles queue up to fill the CNG gas at the stations. We have coordinated with YESC to access electricity regularly at the filling stations as a priority.”
At present, the fuel price is high; they do not change the CNG price and sell the gas with normal price as before. 14 million cubic feet of natural gas are sold to about 25,000 vehicles per day, and plans are underway to get sufficiently the natural gas.
Kyaw Thura Win, General Manager, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise said “We are emphasizing on production of natural gas for the convenience of CNG vehicles. For the sufficient supply of natural gas, if the production of natural gas from Nyaungdon-Ma U Bin-Aphauk oil field becomes less, the offshore gas, Zawtika, is regularly supplied.”
The compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling stations in Yangon Region are opened daily from 5 am to 7 pm.
