Common Fund for Commodities: Union Minister joins CFC Administration Council Meeting

At the invitation of the Managing Director of Common Fund for Commodities-CFC Dr. Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe who also serves as Governor of the CFC Myanmar attended the 37th CFC Administration Council Meeting held in the Hague of  Netherlands via video conferencing on 10th December.

In the National Statement delivered by the Union Minister, he expressed his appreciation on consistent supports of the CFC in Myanmar’s robber, dairy, meat, vegetable, bamboo, fishery and agricultural inputs productions. The Union Minister also conveyed his hope to work together with CFC closer in near future, highlighting the interest of Myanmar in sustainable agricultural techniques, weather resistance methods, carbon reduction methods, digital information and disaster management matters.

He also expressed his readiness to receive annual projects of CFC and secured Myanmar’s commitment to CFC Strategic Framework 2025-2035. Representatives, policy makers, experts, researchers and observers from 101 CFC member countries attended the 37th CFC Administration Council Meeting as well as the National Statements were made by the Governors from 36 countries.
