Commemorative Observance : Workers' Day event and blood donation

2026 International Workers' Day ceremony was held at the hall of Kayah State with the attendance of Chief Minister U Aunt Maw and concerned officials.

First, the Chief Minister read out the message sent by President Agga Maha Thray Sithu Agga Maha Thiri Thudhamma U Min Aung Hlaing. This was followed by screening a commemorative video clip of International Workers' Day. 

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party attended the collective blood donation event commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Myanmar Fire Brigade Day  which will fall on May 5th, at the 500-bed Hospital in Loikaw. There, the Chief Minister and party made encouragement to the blood donors, provided nutritous foodstuff, supplements and cash assistance.

Members of the Kayah State Fire Service Department are working vigorously with the government, Tatmadaw, and local populace to carry out public welfare activities related to regional development and natural disaster prevention within the state in line with the goals and responsibilities of the fire service. Altogether 33 members of the Fire Brigade donated blood during the event.
