Commemorative Event: Disaster Risk Reduction Day Essay Competition held in Yangon

To mark International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction which falls on October 13, an essay competition under the theme “Build Resilience, Boost Investment” was held at Basic Education High School No. 4 Alone in Yangon Region on Thursday.

Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional ministers attended the event, encouraged student participants, and presented cash rewards to winners and supervisors. A total of 110 students from basic education schools across Yangon participated in the contest. Winners from each level will be awarded during the ceremony on October 13, in honor of Disaster Risk Reduction Day.
