




Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended opening ceremony of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day commemorative booths, traditional food stalls of ethnic people and decorated floats at the Tabaung ground in the southern part of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday evening.
The Deputy Prime Minister, member of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung and U Saw Daniel, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin formally opened the ceremony. Later, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman presented Independence Day commemorative gift to the Deputy Prime Minister.
The ethnic Yein troupes from Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States entertained with song entitled, “Pyae Yadana”. The Deputy Prime Minister and party then cordially greeted ethnic traditional Yein troupes and viewed around the Independence day commemorative booths and the display of ethnic traditional food stalls.
At the event, 25 booths from the Ministries, 15 booths from Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States and 15 booths of ethnic traditional food, altogether 55, 48 parade floats representing respective ministries, Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States and Tatmadaw will be displayed for the public from the 4th to 8th January.
