Commemoration of Independence: Commemorative booths, foods, decorated floats on display

The 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day commemorative booths, traditional food stalls of ethnic people and decorated floats are on display for the public from the 4th to 8th January at the Tabaung ground in the southern part of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw.

Aung Min, Deputy Director, Dept. of Geological Survey & Mineral Exploration said "There are two categories at our booth related to mineral and forestry. Here, visitors can explore raw minerals resources, forest resources and natural resources such as jade, pearls, marble and golden and also the processes of mineral production including gold and lead and timber production and the finished products. They can also explore the conservation processes of wildlife animals and natural environment and some endangered wildlife species. "

Kyaw Kyaw Lwin, Deputy Director General, Department of Labour said "Our department focus on emerging peaceful and stable working environment by establishing good tripartite relations among Government, employer and employee, providing social protection and health care to ensure the safety of the workers and supporting the employees to become the skillful workers. We participate in conducting gallery to share knowledge about our ministry, earn the public interest and cooperate with us to create more peaceful and stable working environment in future." 

Yan Naung Soe, Chief Engineer, Information Technology & Cyber Security Dept. said "We show internet connection, equipment for fiber to the home (FTTH), video presentation of latest technologies and satellite communications. Implementation of e-Government Integrated Data Center (e-GIDC) Establishment Project is showcased. We prepared for this event by holding meetings with 19 departments under our Ministry of Transport and Communications."

At the event, 25 booths from the Ministries, 15 booths from the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States and 15 booths of ethnic traditional food, altogether 55, 48 parade floats representing respective ministries, Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States and Tatmadaw are on display.
