Colourful Photo Contest: Awarding ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw

The awarding ceremony of colourful photo contest “Beautiful and Pleasant Land of Myanmar” in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 was held at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the ceremony, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that the contest aimed to reveal the essence of Independence. 751 photos of 199 photographers and enthusiasts from all over Myanmar were competed in the colourful photo contest marking the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.

The judges scrutinized and selected the winning photos depending on lighting, idea, scene and subject in line with characteristics of a good photo. The photos illustrating the good images of Myanmar will be revealed in the implementations that can benefit to the state and the people.

The Union Minister said the contestants they should be proud of themselves as the ones who benefit to the state on the other hand.Later, Chairman of the Award Scrutiny Board Director Panchi Soe Moe reported on the award selection.

Later, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn presented awards to the winners in the contest.

After the ceremony, the Union Ministers, the Deputy Minister and officials viewed around the display of winning photos.
