Colombian researchers patent formula to protect bees from insecticides

A group of researchers at the University of Rosario in Colombian, patent a formula that protects the brains of bees and other pollinators from exposure to insecticides.

The plant-derived liquid registered with the Intellectual Property Office of the United Kingdom, “opens the door to a great deal of research in order to have an impact on beekeepers, farmers and society in general," explained a professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Universidad del Rosario, who led the research.
