Colombian FM Announces Resolution of Diplomatic Impasse with US

Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo announced on Sunday that the diplomatic impasse with the United States government had been resolved.

He confirmed that he would travel to Washington with Ambassador Daniel García Peña for high-level meetings to follow up on agreements made, including the exchange of diplomatic notes between the two nations.

The minister also mentioned that President Gustavo Petro had arranged for the presidential plane to facilitate the return of Colombians scheduled to arrive on deportation flights. Murillo highlighted that Colombia would continue to engage in diplomatic dialogue to safeguard the rights and interests of its citizens.
