Climbing Event at Mt. Poppa: More than 10,000 climbers can be participated in December

A large number of participants participated in the December 25 climbing event of Poppa Mountain, located about 11 miles northeast of Kyaukpadaung township, Nyaung Oo district, Mandalay Region.

More than 2,000 climbers and enthusiasts from the surrounding areas of Kyaukpadaung such as Magwe, Yenanchaung, Chauk, Salay, Taung Tha, Meikhtila, MaDayar, Nyaung Oo and Bagan and also from Wae Laung, Poppalin, Kan Sat Kone and Inn Chaung villages joined happily and actively in the climbing event.

According to the local residents, the participants climbed the Nwa La Bo mountain which is about 4,300 ft high, Say Mhun mountain with the height about 4,600 ft and Sabar Pon mountain with about 4,755 ft and HmanPya Mountain with height about 4981 ft, it is estimated that there will be more than 10,000 climbers in the month of December.
