Cleaning Campaign: Efforts for clean and green environ

Aiming to maintain the clean and green environment in the heart of Kachin State in accordance with the city characteristics, collective cleaning activities are carried out in Myitkyina City routinely.

On Saturday, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan accompanied by concerned officials inspected the drainage management works along No.4 Main Canal which flows into Ayeyawaddy River through Ye Kyi Creek. There, the Chief Minister stressed on systematic waste management and better water flow.

Then, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the cleaning campaign conducted on Strand road and gave words of encouragement for the youths participating in the campaign and provided cash rewards. Subsequently, the Cheif Minister and party overviewed the collective cleaning works carried out by departmental personnel, fire brigade members and social organizations at respective wards and cordially greeted them.

On arrival at Wine Maw Township Development Affairs Office, the Chief Minister inspected the arrangements to grow ornamental flower plant and shade trees, equpiment and machinery and called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals in cleaning and beautifying measures.
