






The ceremony for the distribution of environmental teaching aids and waste-separating garbage bins to basic education schools competing in the 2025–2026 Fiscal Year “Clean and Green School Award” was held at Sanpal Hall of Basic Education High School No. (2), Sanchaung Township, Yangon Region on August 20. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the event and delivered the opening address.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister urged teachers to thoroughly read and study the content of the environmental teaching aid books and to teach and share the knowledge with students so that children would learn to value and cherish the natural environment, ensuring its sustainable preservation and protection. He also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to successfully implement the program to establish “Clean and Green Schools” nationwide.
Afterwards, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and his wife, together with members of the Region Government, presented environmental teaching aids and waste-separating garbage bins to a total of 39 basic education schools competing in the Clean and Green School Award program.
Later, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the distributed environmental teaching aids and waste-separating garbage bins.
