Clarification of President’s Guidance: MOHTC UM clarified the President’s guidance

Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture U Maung Myint attended a meeting to clarify and follow up the President’s guidance and met with the ministry staff at the office No. 35 and 33 on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister said the government is implementing measures across key sectors within 100 days to strengthen stability and promote progress in education, health, transportation, agriculture and socio-economic development. He urged the ministry staff to work collectively to fulfill their responsibilities, emphasizing that the Ministry was established to advance tourism rooted in cultural heritage while safeguarding national interests.

The Union Minister highlighted the importance of promoting Myanmar as an attractive destination, noting that tourism is a key source of foreign income in many countries. He called for efforts to preserve traditional cultural heritage and to develop the tourism sector by combining diverse tourism types and introducing new destinations with innovative approaches to attract both domestic and international visitors.

The Union Minister then warmly greeted the staff and urged continued cooperation for the development of country’s cultural, hotel and tourism sectors, it’s reported.
