





A ceremony where the Chief Minister of the Tanintharyi Region and the Region Government were briefed on the operational status of the Myeik Public Corporation and the related company limited was held on April 27 at the meeting hall of the Region Government Office in Dawei.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister of the Region, U Zaw Nai Oo, stated that the region is rich in natural resources and that if these resources are utilized effectively, they will greatly contribute to regional development. He expressed gratitude for the efforts made to benefit the region based on its local products. He noted that if businesses in the region prosper, many regional development projects can be carried out. He mentioned that it is disheartening to see young people going to work in other countries for various reasons, leading to a loss of human resources in the region. He added that if entrepreneurs can build factories and workshops for local industries, they will be able to retain human resources. He also expressed thanks for the presentation on the operational status of the Myeik Public Corporation and the related company limited.
Following this, the Region Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, U Aung Kyaw Kyaw Oo, explained the implementation status of the international fish auction market located in Myeik Township. Then, the Myeik Public Corporation and the related company limited presented their operational status and future action plans.
Subsequently, region government ministers and departmental officials supplemented the discussion with necessary points. The Chief Minister coordinated and provided the necessary follow-up actions, it is reported.
