The clarification of Southern Green Power Co., Ltd for their feasibility study report on a proposed 20-megawatt solar power generation project in Chandawood Village, Myeik Township, Myeik District, was held at the meeting hall of the Tanintharyi Region Government Office in Dawei on August 11.
During the event, Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that the region government is working to achieve 100% electricity access, 24/7 power supply, and lower electricity costs. He noted that the 20-megawatt solar power project, if successful, could be a significant step toward these goals. The Chief Minister emphasized that if the project could directly supply electricity to small and medium-sized enterprises in Myeik at an affordable price, it would greatly contribute to the region's industrial development.
After the presentation of the F.S. report by Southern Green Power Co., Ltd., the region ministers and departmental officials discussed and provided feedback on the findings. The Chief Minister then facilitated the coordination of the next steps.
