
The Ministry of Commerce clarified on consumer protection, domestic trade development and product safety that are being implemented by the Department of Consumer Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce on 9th February.
The Union Minister for Commerce Dr. Pwint San said that it is needed to implement development of trade routes for the country’s economic growth, to maintain the tasks of the ministry that are on the success way, and to implement consumer protection tasks continuously by the Consumer Information Complaint Centers (CICCs).
He also explained that the commercial attaches` who are assigned in the foreign countries from the ministry need to implement seeking new markets and boosting exports for new Myanmar products and to exercise project-based and results-based practices that can support more economic growth of the State.
Then, the Director General of Department of Consumer Affairs explained the implemenation processes and future work programs and permanent secretarty of the Ministry also made explanations. In response to the reports, the Union Minister instructed the needs.
