




Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and party attended the Christmas celebration and praying ceremony organized by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and inspected the thriving of seed producing Sunflower plantation to promote the country’s economy, production and boosting of growing oil crop sunflower in the morning on 24th December.
First, the chief minister, state chief justice, state ministers, state level departmental officials and the members of national races literature and cultural committees attended the the Christmas celebration and praying ceremony held at Ma Gywe Hall in Manaw ground of Sitapu Ward, Myitkyina Township.
Then, the chief minister and officials presented memorable gifts to the religious personnel and leaders of literature and cultural committees and enjoyed launch together. Next, the chief minister and state ministers inspected the ready-made food product named “Ka San Hti” producing wit PuTa-O local products and coordinated necessaries with the departmental officials.
Then, the chief minister also viewed the diary cow breeding in the Church of Roman Catholic Diocese of Myitkyina, inquired the status of dairy products conveying to the market and provided veterinary medicines to facilitate the breeding. Similarly, the chief minister comforted the members of rehabilitation center and provided half of million Kyats.
Afterward, the chief minister and members inspected the seed producing sunflower plantation in Zee Lun pedigree farm owned by the cultural department of Myitkyina. Then, the chief minister met with the farmers in Myitkyina and Wai Maw Townships and coordinated necessaries to promote the production of oil crop sunflower and provide the agricultural technical assistances.
Later, the chief minister and members attended the celebration for the golden jubilee of Htwe-Hsan Baptist Christian Church in Maw Faung Village-track, Upper- Maw Faung village, cordially greeted the village elders and church members and provided cash donation, it’s reported.
